Surfer Rosa is the debut studio album by Pixies, released in March 1988 on 4AD and produced by Steve Albini. Surfer Rosa is often included on critics’ lists of the best rock albums and deservedly so. Although it failed to chart in the UK or US on release, “Surfer Rosa” is regarded as one of the most influential albums of the last 4 decades and was sited by Kurt Cobain as a huge inspiration for Nirvana.
