Mr Avery has finally landed and planted his flag firmly in dance music history with his debut set Drone Logic. Imagine Primal Scream’s Screamadelicasmothered in My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless then dipped in The Chemical Brothers Exit Planet Dust at 3am, in the dark, with strobes… and you might get some idea of what this album can do. It’s fully focused, raw and runs the acid line from beginning to end. It’s the new acid house. There’s no one else around that can do it like Dan does – and Dan’s done it well and truly here!
