Description
Originally recorded in 1968, Arias by Verdi and Donizetti begins with a selection of arias from four Verdi operas – Luisa Miller, I due Foscari, Un ballo in maschera and Macbeth. This is followed by arias from four of Donizetti’s operas: Lucia di Lammermoor, Il duca d’Alba, La Favorita and Don Sebastiano on the album’s second side.
